Meet Stef Mauler

Stef Mauler began working in Ivy League admissions in 1993 at The University of Pennsylvania Office of Undergraduate Admissions.  There, she met thousands of high school students and families as they went through the mysterious Ivy League admissions process.  While the majority of applicants had the academic record and intellectual rigor to successfully matriculate at an Ivy League school, most were not accepted.  Stef began to see some commonalities among the students who were accepted – not in the specific activities or interests of the applicants but in how they differentiated themselves from other qualified students by strategically leveraging each component of their college applications.

Years later, Stef successfully applied the insights she learned while working at the University of Pennsylvania and gained acceptance to every MBA program to which she applied.  Since graduating from Harvard Business School in 2003, she has successfully coached numerous students using her proprietary college admissions strategy.

Stef has a B.A. in Economics and International Relations from the University of Pennsylvania, an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a Graduate Degree in College Counseling from University of California, San Diego.  She is the author of The Complete Candidate™: A Comprehensive System for Solving the College Admissions Puzzle  and has acted as an alumni interviewer for both Harvard and UPenn.  Stef is a Certified Educational Consultant (CEP), a Professional Member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA), the Higher Education Consultants Association (HECA), the National Association of College Admission Consulting (NACAC) and serves on the Boards of Directors for non-profit organizations dedicated to the health, education and well-being of children.
